The first visit can often be a daunting experience. You’ve no idea who you’re seeing and what they’re like and you don’t know what they’re going to find and you don’t know what they’re going to do to you.
What we do is aim to make your first visit as easy as possible.
CONTACT USYour dentist will first of all ask some questions about yourself. It helps us to get to know a bit about you. We’ll ask about your medical history and your dental history including your past experiences, good and bad.
We’ll then carry out a thorough check-up. We routinely check jaw joints and soft tissues of the head and neck, both inside and outside. We also check your teeth for decay, broken fillings, signs of wear and erosion and the way they bite together. We always check your gums for signs of gum disease and the health of the foundations of your teeth.
We then discuss your treatment needs and we create a treatment plan together with you. We take account of your needs and expectations for treatment and will discuss any costs associated with the treatment.
Once we’ve arrived at a mutually agreeable plan for your care our reception team will make any necessary appointments with you.
